About Book 4…
When’s it coming out?
After the final editing is done. Hopefully this fall, but don’t hold me to it.
Who’s the guy on the front?
Someone in the book. Not just a tease. Sort of.
Is that an eye on the back?
Maaayyyybe.
Are you volunteering any information on the plot?
That would be no. The only hint you’ll get is from reading the back cover and the sample chapters.
Bonus Back Cover Text
“Beware the Game. Nicodemus.”
The warning at the end of last year makes no sense…until the new school year starts and bullymob bossbane of Mark Morgan’s existence Eamon Adler takes time out from stealing candy from babies to start “The Game,” a first-person VR team combat competition with the stupidest name ever. Is that the best they could come up with? Really? Anyway, the warning isn’t needed because Mark avoids playing team shooters for one simple reason. He stinks. Of course, he was voted most likely to wipe out his own team, so at least he has that.
Due to popular demand, he decides to sit out “The Game.” Which means he can’t. Despite Vijay Okai’s warnings – with best friends like that who needs enemies – Shana Oliver loses all sense and asks him to be on her team like she suddenly enjoys losing or something. He has no choice but to accept because he wouldn’t refuse her anything though he might change his mind about that.
Shana has a plan she won’t share to fix his non-existent love life. Like that’s not ominous. She must think Mark doesn’t have enough drama in his life and wants to ladle on a bit more. Or blast it on with a fire hose.
As “The Game” starts, everything is going fine, and Mark can’t figure out why he was warned about playing even with Eamon behind it. So what if Eamon has tried killing Mark how many times. He can’t do anything now. After all, this is just a game. It’s not real.
What’s the worst that can happen?
